Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Pizza West sent out a Pi Day deal via text message: 1 large speciality with 1 medium one-topper for $3.14. I offered to pay for said deal, but asked them to swap the topping sizes. The gentleman on the phone said that was acceptable. When I arrived, I was told that was not okay, and they charged me quite a bit more than the deal, when my way was less money for them than the orginal deal. Bait & switch. Never again.

The problem with starting another business in the same spot that is the same type is it will be compared to the previous place. Fortunately for Pizza West, it is definitely better than the Pizza Gourmet, which occupied the same spot. The pizza here was not greasy and the taste was fine. The sauce does need some more flavor and having some specials would bring in more business. It is clean and the staff is definitely friendly. Dining is available outside also and there are plenty of tables.

Huge patio, good decor and friendly staff. Great location right off interstate and by Cabelas as well as Embassy Suites hotel. Great happy hour specials as well.

Went last night for the first time and was very happy with the food. Had slices of the carnivore and the chicken bacon ranch. Pizza wasn't greasy and crust was cooked really well. Definitely will return again.

Not the worst, but definitely not the best. Crust was crunch but very dry. Asked for extra cheese. If that was extra cheese I don't want to know the regular amount. Pizza places are getting more and more expensive that you really have 1 chance to wow me if you want me back. This place definitely has no wow factor.

This review is for take out only. After an adventurous day at Fun Plex, it was pizza:30. My brother swears by PizzaWest and actually shows concern over how many people don't know about this place. We ordered the Garlic Cheese Bread (standard yummy melted cheese on bread), Flying Hawaiian which has Pineapple BBQ Sauce Base, Pineapple, Bacon, Mozzarella, Canadian Bacon, Cream Cheese & Jalapenos (seriously to die for), and half pepperoni and half Popeye-Roni which consisted of Red Sauce, Hand Cut Pepperoni, Spinach, Cream Cheese, Mushrooms (super good, but the Flying Hawaiian is better). Pizza was devine. Will definitely be going in to get the full experience.

I really wanted to like this place- it is just around the corner from our neighborhood, they serve our favorite local beer, the free foosball and pool helped to entertain our kids. The atmosphere was good- relaxed, good music, a nice patio. The pizza was decent but nothing special. Unfortunately, our service was terrible. It was a week night and not very busy. Our server forgot to ask management about items that are gluten free. When our pizza arrived they had two gluten free pizzas (we had only ordered one). It was immediately apparent that the second pizza was gluten free by looking at the crust- which was nothing like the normal crust of the third pizza we ordered. The gluten free crust wasn't really a big deal however they tried to pass it off as a regular crust instead of admitting their mistake and offering to make the pizza with a normal crust, like I had ordered. When our pizza arrived we had no napkins or silverware and had to ask another employee for them because our server was no where to be found. The second beer we ordered took forever to arrive and my soda ran dry. I asked for a refill and 15 minutes later it still wasn't there. Finally he came by again and I asked for the check and a to go box. When the check arrived, it was wrong- charging us full price for the local beer that was on special that day. After that experience, we will not be returning to PizzaWest.

Good thin crust pizza. Sauce is flavorful too! We ordered the carnivore, omnivore and buffalo chicken. Everyone enjoyed it all and we agreed that we would definitely order it again! Toppings were adequate and there was plenty of sauce. Our pizzas were delivered so can't talk about the restaurant.

Cleanliness 4 Service 4 Food 4 Likelihood 4 1-5 (5 Best!) 4.0 My first time there. I joined a wedding rehearsal party there. Although this was not my MOST favorite pizza, it was hot, fresh, and tasty. The service was attentive, and quick on refills. They were very polite and kept beverage orders correct as 30 people hit at once. Good job! I would drive from mid-town to come back again. The BBQ Chicken Pizza and Taco pizza was my favorite.

Good food, good variety, and a good atmosphere. Our waitress was nice. We came here for the gluten free pizza and it didn't disappoint! We had the garlic cheese bread on the gf crust ( a little too much garlic texture for my liking), a taco pizza, a carnivore pizza, and kid burgers. We also had a gf half pepperoni half chicken bacon ranch. All the pizzas were yummy. My 3 year old loved the waffle fries and games to play. They were not busy and food came out in a timely manner. More people should check this place out! I was bummed we could get a dessert pizza on the gf crust though. Next time we are in town, I think we will return.

HORRIABLE SERVICE!!! We got seated and ordered drinks and appetizer . Got the drinks fast enough , and we sat there for over 30 minutes waiting for our mozzarella sticks to come out. The wait staff would go running buy with other peoples pizza,, with dishes,, etc.. and was ignoring us. No asking if we wanted drink refills, asking if we needed anything,,, nothing.. FINALLY out appetizer comes out and it did not taste good at all. the mozzarella sticks were very thin and the batter reminded us of the batter that went on fish sticks.. very flavorless. again we set there forever no one asked if we wanted drinks refilled and our server seemed to disappear. We finally saw the server and asked for our bill. again,, took forever to bring it to us.. maybe they were just having a bad day. .there was one lady server who was young that seemed that she was with it. and maybe we would of had a better experience if we set in the section she worked. Not going to jump on going back though so I probably would never know.

They have a great outdoor patio and are dog friendly! We took our dog there for pizza and met up with some other fellow dogs and their people. The staff was very friendly and was fairly attentive. We ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and the carnivore pizza. Both were really yummy. The crust was thin, close to a NY style but wasn't quite a NY style pizza. The toppings on the carnivore were plentiful. The buffalo chicken was a little lacking in chicken and spice but it was still really good and I would order it again. They also participate in Pin Point Rewards which we used to score a buy one get one free pizza as a welcome reward. I liked their pizza and would go back for more.

Jim and Jake the manager's have been so wonderful about the issue we had the other night. Everyone can have an off night but they have more than made up for the issue. I'd trust this is a one time deal and the food is REALLY good.

Ehh.... Were big Zios fans, and this place is yet another "why didn't we just go to zios". We had a half buffalo chicken half bacon chicken ranch. Both were blah. Were fans of a crisp bottom, this was on the mushy side. Unfortunately not enough to differentiate between them and existing Omaha pizza places. Service was decent and decent selection of beer on tap.

  • Annie E.

I was not impressed with the staff, nor the cardboard-like pizza. We ordered the carnivore and buffalo chicken pizza and both of them were very dry. There were nice features in the decor, but sitting in the center section of booths with a wall to one side made it feel very closed off and uncomfortable.

I wish Omahans did Yelp more frequently. Less than 20 reviews on this place? This is easily the best pizza place in town!! All their pizzas are truly great. They have a pizza of the month which is usually great. And one of them from last September which was my favorite pizza ever, Flyin Hawaiian, turned into a regular pizza featured on their menu now!! If you like Hawaiian Pizza, you should definitely check this out. It has a BBQ sauce base instead of marinara, the usual canadian bacon & pineapple, then cream cheese chunks, bacon and jalepenos. I usually take the jalepenos off and use it as flavor mostly, but this pizza dish is definitely one to try if you like most of those ingredients! My work lead hates cream cheese for the most part but he tried it and thought it was great so that says something! Other amazing pizzas that are my favorites as well would be PopeyeRoni (pepperoni, cream cheese, mushrooms & spinach) and their Taco pizza. They also accept Pinpoint which is a bonus. I can eat their pizzas every single day and never get tired of it.

In from out of town and couldn't find a place open on Sunday. Found this place and decided to give it a try. Lady sitting on the patio overheard us talking and said she loved the food here and said we were not settling by eating there. Unfortunately, I wasn't as impressed as she seems to be. First, our service was very less than spectacular. We had to get up to find our waitress to get drink refills for the table. She brought over pitchers of soda for refills. Would have been fine, but I had Mr. Pibb while everyone else had Coke and Diet Coke, so my drink sat empty for quite awhile. Our food took A LONG time to come out. We did have a big party of 9 and ordered slices, but it shouldn't take 45 minutes to make our food. The rest of the restaurant was dead, so busy was not an excuse. As a side note, while we were waiting on our food, we watched the lady outside finish eating and have a stack of plates filling her table. The server brought out the check, discussed with the table, brought it back in for what looked like adjusting, took it back out, brought in payment and took back either change or card for signature. We got our food about 5-10 minutes later, ate it, got our check, paid and left, and the original table was still piled high with dirty dishes. When our food came out, I got a slice of Omnivore and a Flying Hawaiian. Both were just ok at best. Crust seemed pre-made frozen pizza crust. Nothing had a whole lot of flavor. Our 8 year old son said he could make better pizza and only ate half a slice because he hated it. My 79 year old mom said it was disgusting. The space looks brand new, so maybe they just need to get some kinks worked out. But we were not impressed AT ALL.

Alright PizzaWest. Dropped in last night for my reward and wasn't disappointed in the least. My .Carnivore pizza was "Spot On" delicious. My compliment to the staff that evening. I tried a few establishments in the surrounding area and yes, some nights are hits and misses. Yet this establishment does a very good job and will hopefully be back soon.

I had chicken wings "buffalo style " well wings were not the freshest and buffalo style sauce was really mild I expected hot buffalo sauce place was pretty much empty on Thursday night and bartender seamed not to care too much so overall just barely 2 stars.

I went here for lunch on a weekday and really enjoyed the experience. I tried one of their lunch specials which comes with one piece of pizza, the salad bar, and a drink for about $8. The salad bar is awesome! You get a good-sized bowl, they have spinach in addition to the iceberg lettuce mix, they have a ton of fresh toppings, and about 10 dressing options. I tried a slice of the buffalo chicken pizza. The slices are huge and I really enjoyed this pizza. It had the perfect combination of mozzarella cheese and buffalo sauce with little pieces of chicken. The service was also fantastic (it probably didn't hurt that our waiter was adorable, had a British accent, and called us "lovely" the whole time). This is a great lunch spot and I will be making many more visits here.

I really enjoyed eating here! My husband and I visited after running the Ugly Sweater Run on a Sunday afternoon. The place was empty and our service was very prompt. I got the chicken pot pie and really enjoyed it while my husband got the mac and cheese with a side of cheesy mashed potatoes. It wasn't the best food I've ever had but it was very good and I really enjoyed it and the atmosphere. The prices are also very reasonable. I will definitely be back here in the future!

Went with the family on a weekday while traveling through town. Had low expectations for a strip mall pizza place and expected a Domino's type pizza with pools of grease on it. Instead the pizza and chicken wings were great (we had carnivore and chicken bacon ranch), the beer selection was very good for a small place, and the service was solid. All in all a very pleasant surprise. Definitely recommend.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
